In the heart of Northern Finland lies the town of Kuusamo. In the town there is located a fell Rukatunturi which is 490 metres high. After ten years break snowboard world cup will be back again in Ruka.
The very first superpipe of the nation was built this year in Rukatunturi. The massive superpipe is 160 meters long with an angle of 16,5 degrees. It's the perfect venue for this season's sole World Cup competition and the third ever in Ruka.
Rukatunturi is a very popular destination to Finns who love winter sports as it offer a total of 30 slopes. For the last few years, Kuusamo and the ski resort of Ruka have been known as exotic destinations for tourists all over the world.
Ruka World Cup competition will be also filmed and showed on TV at the channel MTV3. But if you want to feel the real northern atmosphere join the event alive on the side and get involved to the awesome after party as well!
